Parking & Alternative Transportation Services

The Parking & Alternative Transportation Services Department's mission is to provide & promote alternative transportation options to our campus community and guests while also providing a safe, well maintained parking infrastructure that allows the 不良研究所 Community to get to their destination as safely and efficiently as possible.

Coming August 19th for Fall Semester 2025... AC Transit EasyPass!

 

 

EasyPass is your all-access pass to ride AC Transit buses anywhere they go—no need to worry about fares! Whether you're commuting to class, heading to work, or exploring the Bay, EasyPass makes it simple, sustainable, and stress-free.

 

AC Transit EasyPass will replace the CSUEB Shuttles by providing access to campus via Line 60.

Public Transit Schedule Changes August 10th & 11th

 

  • Starting August 10th, changes can include the route, the schedule, or full or partial replacement with a different line. For  check AC Transit's website.

 

  • BART's , to improve key transfers

Fall Semester 2025 Parking Permits - Starting July 28th!

 

Order Fall 2025 Parking Permits at  starting July 28th. After you order your permit, it will be mailed to you. Please print the temporary permit and display when parked on campus while you wait for your permit in the mail.

 

Students*:

If you are living on campus use this address: 1901 Harder Road, Hayward CA 94542. The permit will be sent to the Parking office. After you are notified it is ready you can pick it up there.

*New Incoming students may receive an error message when logging in. We are currently working on this issue with the vendor and will have a solution soon. We appreciate your patience.

 

Faculty/Staff:

New for Fall 2025, order semester permits** online (no need to come to the Parking Office). Sign in with your SSO, enter your address and vehicle info then place your order. The pricing will reflect your union bargaining unit amount. If you feel it is incorrect or if you have issues logging in, please contact the Parking office 510-885-379 or parking@csueastbay.edu.

 

**Faculty/Staff interested in a monthly or 2-Year Permit will need to pick at the Parking office. Please call or email for more info.

Fall Semester Parking Grace Period

 

 

The first five days of classes, there will be a Parking Grace period from Tuesday, August 19th - Monday, August 25th in Student lots (General lots) only. 

During this time permits are not required in Student Lots only (General  Lots) A, C, C1, D F, G,  K , N, P & H (except marked spaces).

 

Faculty/Staff Lots will be enforced. Parking Lots: B, E, J, L, M O & marked spaces in H.

PARKING LOT C & C 1 RESURFACING July 18th- August 15th

 

Friday July 18, 2025 to Friday August 15, 2025

7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Parts of Parking Lots C and C1 as shown will be closed during Phase I and II.


  • Phase I: July 18 to July 25, 2025
  • Phase II: July 28 to August 15, 2025

 

Please note that the following is regularly updated with scheduled lot closures and does not guarantee a lot is open if not listed.

   

 

 

Lots C & C1 -  July 18th - August 15th

 

PARKING LOT C & C 1 RESURFACING July 18th- August 15th

  • West side portion of Lot H closed, Thursday, August 7th - Friday, August 8th (Camp Drop off Pick up)

Parking permits are no longer required in the Student/General Parking Lot and the Electric Vehicle Charging Spaces (there is still an EV charge fee though)  at the Concord Campus as of June 12, 2023. See ASI resolution below for more information on this change

 

Please note, we will continue to cite in the Faculty/Staff Parking Lot and a Faculty/Staff permit is required to park there. 

 

As of March 1, 2025, the policy changed if charging more than 4 hours.

 

  • Past policy: You were required to move the vehicle or be subject to a $49 citation.
  • Current policy: Starting March 1, 2025, you will not be required to move if still charging but the rate will double if you continue to charge.

CSUEB Affiliate rates: Charging between 1-4 hours $0.32 /kWh, charging more than 4 hours $0.64 /kWh

Community Member rates: Charging between 1-4 hours $0.40 /kWh, charging more than 4 hours $0.80 /kWh

 2-Year Parking Permit:

  • PAYROLL DEDUCTION- For those currently enrolled in Payroll Deduction - Pick up your new Faculty/Staff 2-Year permits at the Parking office SF-140. Bring photo ID.
  • ENROLL- If you want to enroll in payroll deduction for the Faculty/Staff 2-Year permit, visit the Parking Office. (You will need to pay for the 1st Bring the pink card from HR/Payroll and photo ID.)
  • PURCHASE - If you want to purchase Faculty/Staff 2-Year permit in full, visit the Parking Office. (You will need to bring the pink card from HR/Payroll and photo ID.)
  • Faculty/Staff 2-year parking permits on the9 month deduction schedule (NOT teaching in summer) will be available on August 4, 2025

Semester/Monthly Parking Permit:

  • MONTHLY PERMIT - Purchase online and pick up in Parking Office.
  •  FALL SEMESTER permits will be available starting July 28, 2025 – Purchase your Faculty/Staff Semester Fall parking permit on  . It will be mailed to you, just print and display the temporary permit in the meantime.
    • New employees, you will need to bring the pink card from HR/Payroll and photo ID to the Parking Office. Once you are set up in the system by the Parking staff, you will be able to order your permit.

Parking on Campus - Permits Required

Parking permits are required at 不良研究所 when students, faculty, staff or visitors are parking their vehicle on campus Mondays -Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Hayward Campus and Faculty/Staff Lot only at the Concord Center.

Parking permits are required during the break in between terms as well.

Daily/Hourly permits can be purchased on campus at any of the five Parking Permit Dispensers.

Student permits (Semester only) can be purchase online .

Faculty/Staff permits  - Semester or 2-Year permits can be purchase online . Please note the 2-Year permit will not be mailed, it can be picked up on campus through the Parking Dept. For more info use this this link and scroll down to "Faculty/Staff Permits".
