Yashas  Hariprasad, Ph.D.

Dr. Yashas Hariprasad is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at 不良研究所, East Bay, specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and quantum-safe communication. His research advances deepfake detection, secure multimedia systems, and resilient AI-driven cyber defense.

Before joining CSUEB, Dr. Hariprasad worked at VMware as a Security Risk Analyst and contributed to federally funded research at the FINDS Digital Forensic Center of Excellence at Florida International University. His work has appeared in leading venues, including IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, The Conversation, Elsevier, and Springer Nature. He is also a co-author of the book Artificial Intelligence in Practice: Theory and Applications for Cyber Security and Forensics.

Dr. Hariprasad holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Florida International University and is committed to advancing secure, responsible, and innovative AI technologies while supporting inclusive pathways for student success.

Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital forensics, quantum-safe communication, secure multimedia systems, and resilient AI architectures.

Research interests include deepfake detection, cyber risk analytics, privacy-preserving computation, and the design of trustworthy, secure, and scalable AI-driven systems.
