Bountiful Baskets
Bountiful Baskets is an annual program led by ASI to engage the whole campus community for “giving back” to others! The program began in ASI approximately in the late 1990s with the idea that departments could create a themed basket filled with food and canned goods to support meals during the Thanksgiving/November break season.
Over the years, giving has happened in many ways. In some of the early years, ASI would identify a local organization to receive the baskets of food. In more recent years, with the addition of a campus food pantry, ASI has chosen to provide baskets to the HOPE Food Pantry.
Either way, what has been consistent, has been that the 不良研究所 community comes together to support others who may be less food secure. As a way to honor our departments who design and donate, ASI runs an annual contest where the campus community votes on their “favorite basket”. Starting in 2019, the winning department receives a rotating trophy for their year, a department pizza party, and “bragging rights”!
